3. Nature of the services provided

Kizuna Relo provides support services for relocating to Japan: housing searches, assistance with settling-in formalities and concierge services.

Kizuna Relo is not a real estate agency and does not engage in real estate brokerage within the meaning of Japan's Real Estate Brokerage Act. Rental and sale transactions are carried out by the licensed real estate agencies with which we work.

Kizuna Relo is not authorised to carry out visa or immigration procedures, which in Japan are reserved for licensed professionals, including gyōseishoshi and lawyers. These procedures are handled by specialist partners to whom our clients are referred.

The information provided by Kizuna Relo does not constitute legal, tax or investment advice.

4. Partners and external links

Kizuna Relo works with independent service providers selected for their specialist expertise. The services they provide are their sole responsibility and are subject to their own terms and conditions. The website may contain links to third-party websites, whose content is not the responsibility of the publisher.

5. Fees and terms

Services are not sold online. Each enquiry is subject to a personalised quotation, prepared following a discussion and based on the nature and scope of the support required and whether the client is an individual or a company.

For individuals, a deposit is required when the quotation is signed. The balance is invoiced upon handover of the property keys or, for other services, upon completion of the support provided.

For companies, fees, payment terms and cancellation conditions are agreed contractually before the service begins.

In all cases, the price, performance timescales, and amendment and cancellation terms are set out in the quotation or contract and accepted before the service begins.

6. Intellectual property

All content on kizunarelo.com (text, images, logos, graphics, videos, etc.) is the exclusive property of Kizuna Relo, unless otherwise stated. Any reproduction, representation, modification, publication or use, in whole or in part, without prior written authorisation is prohibited.

Any automated, systematic or large-scale extraction of content from the website is prohibited.

7. Personal data

Data collected through the contact, appointment booking and newsletter subscription forms is processed by the website publisher, acting as data controller, solely to respond to your enquiries, arrange appointments and, with your consent, send you communications.

The legal basis is your consent and/or steps taken prior to entering into a contract. Data is retained for the time required to process the request and is then archived or deleted.

Data processing is subject to the General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) for data subjects residing in the European Union, as well as Japan's Act on the Protection of Personal Information (APPI). Data may be shared with technical service providers required for the operation of the website, the management of enquiries and the monitoring of relocation support cases, acting as data processors.

Under the GDPR, you have the right to access, rectify, erase, object to, restrict and receive your data in a portable format, as well as the right to withdraw your consent at any time. You may exercise these rights by writing to contact@kizunarelo.com.

As your data may be hosted outside your country of residence, appropriate safeguards are implemented. You have the right to lodge a complaint with the competent supervisory authority (the CNIL in France).

Details of our processing activities and the list of data processors are provided in our privacy policy.

8. Cookies

The website uses cookies that are strictly necessary for its operation, as well as advertising cookies placed only after obtaining your consent. You may withdraw your consent at any time using the ‘Manage cookies’ link at the bottom of every page. Details of the cookies used are provided in our cookie policy.

9. Accessibility

Kizuna Relo strives to make this website accessible to as many people as possible. To report an accessibility issue, please contact contact@kizunarelo.com.

10. Limitation of liability

The publisher endeavours to provide information that is as accurate as possible, without guaranteeing that it is complete or up to date. The information is provided for guidance only and does not exempt users from carrying out further checks.

11. Governing law and dispute resolution

This legal notice is governed by Japanese law. If an amicable resolution cannot be reached, any dispute shall be submitted to the Tokyo District Court.

This clause applies without prejudice to mandatory provisions protecting consumers in their country of habitual residence: a consumer residing in the European Union retains the right to bring proceedings before the courts of their country of residence. They may also contact the European Consumer Centre in their country regarding a cross-border dispute.
